Hi guys, I know this has purposely been changed, but I thought asking is worth a shot. Not too long ago before our modem drama started, we used to get approx 1.2-1.5mbps via bittorent and sites like Mediafire etc. This was with the ACYE plan. Now, we have replaced our ADSL modem which as far as I am aware hasn't been causing any problems. The old one used to time out heaps, and get high latency. Now with our new modem, the web performance is better overall, but I've noted that my downloading is the slowest I've seen it in a long time. I'm not a heavy downloader as I once was, but on the occasions where it's urgently needed my downloading speed is the slowest I've seen in a long time, compared to what it was at one stage. For Example, I need to use Mediafire to get a file I urgently need, and Mediafire used to download at approx 1.2mbps, has now been so severely slowed down, it's now not even going at 100kbps. There's times where I have seen it creep up to about 180kbps, but never past there. Any chance that someone can tell me what's wrong, or if Slingshot has just reached over capacity with this plan again, therefore resulting in them shaping all of us over the top? Thanks
