I've been experiencing repeated and intermittent dropouts on my home fibre link with Slingshot for a few months now. I'm 100% sure the issue is in the house. I've had a cableGuy come along and check his wiring work - he's happy with that. Sshot have already sent me a new router; another to arrive next week to swap out. I asked if I can upgrade the firmware on that router but they say their settings will be lost - fair enough.Looking on PBTech I can see that my NF4V is branded for ADSL+VDSL. The next models up are for ADSL+VDSL+Fibre. I'm wondering if I upgraded to the next model [NB16WV], labelled for fibre, if this would be of any advantage at all?Is anyone able to comment on this please as I'm also curious why Sshot offer ADSL+VDSL to customers with Fibre connections.Thankyou.
