As per topic, am I connected correctly or should I save some $$ and go back to ADSL?VDSL went live on 11 Aug (8 days ago as of this posting). I have a master filter that was fitted about 1.5yrs ago by the Coffeebaron, which took my ADSL2+ from just over 10mb to 19mb dwn and 2mb up.My download speed has gone up to 25mb (speedtest.net yields consistent 23mb - an OK increase over ADSL), but my upload is only 1mb (and it struggles to get that on speedtest.net, usually 0.9mb).I went to VDSL2 as all the marketing material states the upload speed can be 5mb up to 15mb. And I really want a faster upload speed for cloud backups.I found a speed comparison on Truenet (granted a few yrs old now), which shows that if I am within a km of the exchange, I should be getting roughly 5mb upload - truenet.nz/story/2012/12/speed-comparison-vdsl-vs-adsl; but as you can see I am not.NB: This sparks another question: Should I even have been offered VDSL?Slingshot tells me to wait for the DLM to do it's thing, but my connection has not changed since day one. OK, i have two more days until the 10 days are up, but I have my doubts. To add it, I emailed Chorus asking "what gives" and they tell me I am on UCLL, and not even connected to their network (as confirmed by checking my address on their site); their email -With regard to your query, I have checked your address details and it looks as though you are not completely connected to the Chorus network. It looks as though you have a UCLL connection, which basically means that the lines leading from your local exchange to your house belongs to Chorus and are being used by your broadband provider. However the equipment in the exchange itself, where the information is processed and sent to you, belongs to your broadband provider/other supplier. Because of this we are unable to comment on the quality of service you are receiving. I would recommend getting back in contact with your broadband provider to investigate this issue further for you.Is this how it is supposed to work for Slingshot VDSL2?Now, I don't want to bash Slingshot, but I find their tech support, well, unsupportive. I feel they do everything they can to make it my issue so they don't have to actually do anything.Any advice would be appreciated.VDSL stats attached.Thank you in advance for your time.-P
