I've had problems since day 1 with slingshot, and now im really annoyed....My phone hasn't received a txt for 4 weeks this coming monday 17th June since i first ported to slingshot.I also had problems receiving calls for the first week and a half and during this time i had a family member pass away, i did not found out until the night before the tangi/funeral because people were txting and calling and was unable to receive any of them. I was extremely lucky there was a family member passing through and they decided to see if i was going to it. I then wake this morning to find there is a bar on my mobile... They told me its because i have hit a limit on my account....Since day 1 i have never had a complete service with my mobile, i have NEVER received a txt, and half of the time i cannot send a txt either....I explained to them that what other option do i have, SLINGSHOT have left me no option but to make the phone call, its either send a txt that probably wont go through, and if it does send, and the person replies, i'll never get the txt back, anyway, so the best way to get a MESSAGE across to someone is via a phone call..... Then to be told that i had to pay $270 odd ticked me off even more....and unfortunately in SLINGSHOTS terms and conditions, it states the following....12.1 We exclude all of our liability to you in connection with us providing services to you or failing to provide services to you. Without limiting this, we are not liable to you (and nor are any of our officers, employees, contractors or agents liable to you):1. if any communication you make is intercepted;2. if any communication you make is not properly transmitted or received;3. if any of our services are not available at any time or are faulty;4. for any delay in commencing the provision of services;5. if any software we supply does not operate properly;6. for any error in any directory listing which we arrange;7. (for internet customers) if your computer becomes affected by any virus or worm.12.2 We are not liable to you for any fault in or non-provision of services which is caused by an event beyond our reasonable control.12.3 If you use another service provider's services during any period when our service is not fully operational, we are not liable to pay any amount you are charged by that service provider.12.4 You acknowledge that no third party whose network or services we use to supply services to you (nor any officer, employee, contractor or agent of such third party) is in any way liable to you in connection with our services. This clause is intended to confer a benefit which those third parties can enforce.12.5 Nothing in this clause limits any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act unless you are using our services for the purposes of a business in which case any rights you may have had under the Consumer Guarantees Act are excluded. Im looking over the consumers guarantee act now, because i have never had a service with slingshot that has worked, and im hesitant to pay for something that i have never been able to use or worked since i was first connected...I'm so angry i think the Indians in America can see my smoke signals coming out of my ears!
