Hi

I have absolutely had enough of this, is anyone else having the same problem?

Pings on google in the evening skyrocket from 37ms during to the day to sometimes over 600ms in the evening.

NZherald website is usually 16, I'm now getting over 100ms and some requests are timing out.

It's the same story most evenings. However in the day the problem usually clears

I am quite a heavy streamer, and in the day I can usually stream stuff in from almost anywhere in the world without a problem during the day.

However in the evenings not only can't I stream, however my HTTP browsing is slower almost unusable on some occasions.

It has occurred to me that NZ people protest and complain about certain issues such as Climate Change, Fruit Fly, Painted apple moth etc, however when it comes to other things such as the quality of our broadband and other infrastructure issues, the majority of people in NZ are just happy to keep quiet about it, and in reality we should be standing up and demanding better quality service. I know people are going to mention FTTH, and recently being upgraded with ADSL2+ etc, but I feel that if the government didn't fund it and National didn't make the election promise for UFB nothing would have happened, and people would have been quite happy having ADSL1, and data caps etc.

In places such as the USA, and US etc ISPs wouldn't be able to operate the way Slingshot does, with all the downtime, and high pings etc. I would just imagine if this was the USA, all the penalties they would face.

Sorry about the rant but I am really fed up of this, and I know people will suggest changing ISPs, but really in between the downtimes, and High pings in the evenings the speed and performance can be quite good. Plus Slingshot is one of the only ISPs that I know of that offers a reasonable uncapped service. (I've heard nothing but complaints about worldnet)

Here's a photo of the high pings.

Want to see even higher check out my previous post yesterday (Google pings were going at over 600ms)

Ping to Google

Ping to NZherald

I hope that Someone from Slingshot can sort this out.

Apart from replacing my modem (I have attached a spare one same problem)

So I'm assuming it must be Slingshot.

Thanks
