Original AYCE v Current AYCE

Are there any known benefits to remaining on the original, more expensive, AYCE plan once out-of-contract? Also keen to learn of experiences of those who've gone back to Telecom on the 500GB offering.Cheers all.////////////////////////////////////////////////
