Hi Guys, I hope I'm posting this in the right place? (maybe this belongs to Voip?) Anyway I bought a brand new Netcomm NB16WV about 2 months ago for the new flat cos we have the unlimited naked broadband plan with slingshot. I did all the setting up of the internet and Voip all fine and from initial testing of the voip, calling out and receiving calls all seemed to work no problem. A couple of weeks later my flatmates getting complaints from their parents cos our phone isn't working (ie when calling in there is an automated voice saying our number is not available) however we are still able to call out on the same line without fault. I have spoken to the technician support guy from slingshot and of the 80mins i was on the phone the only piece of relavant information I got was that there was no fault with voip service and it must be some hardware related problem. That was cool I just did a factory restore, modem setup and all was good with the world. Fast forward to last week, same thing happened again but this time rebooting the modem seemed to have fixed it again... for 2 days and it happened again and again... you get the idea.Now my question is, has anyone come across this problem with voip in general before or with this particular modem? I've done some googling and came up empty. There so nothing suggesting this is a typical fault with voip unless my settings were wrong in which case it should of worked in the first place which lead me to think it is my modem that is faulty or something to the with the firmware?
